Building Ashley Gorge
Via Ferrata

Campaign: Utah's Vertical Frontier: Building Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata
Client: Uintah County Economic Development
This 9-minute film follows the story of building North America's LONGEST via ferrata, and the VERY FIRST public via ferrata in the state of Utah. Set in the stunning canyons of Ashley Gorge in Vernal, Utah, this new vertical trail system takes climbers to new heights and never-before-seen trails. Italian for “Iron Path”, Via Ferrata is an exciting form of rock climbing growing in popularity across the U.S. Climbing routes include safety features fixed to the rock face; the combination of a specialty harness, wire rope, footings, and grips allows even beginners the chance to climb. This documentary was filmed over two years and is featured in the original SmallTownComeback.com documentary series. The team came together to craft something we’re really proud of.
